2012 Tesla Other SL Description

Here is your chance to own a really early production Tesla Model 3, so early in fact that it is a 2012 model, long before anyone knew about the Model 3! Now is your chance to drive around in an all electric vehicle and be the envy of all your friends. Just imagine hanging out at the charging station, sunglasses on, cigarette in hand, looking cool, you can't do that at a gas pump, no sir! Just look at those gorgeous multi-spoke wheels. Sure, they take a long time to clean by hand, but remember you've got that time while you wait for the electrons to flow.
The model comes equipped with a Navigation system and heated seats front and rear, again all electric and ZERO emissions (except for those from the driver and passengers). This is also a non-smoker car but does come equipped with the optional electric cigarette lighter for those times when you want to up your current draw. Speaking of current draw, this vehicle comes with a standard US plug 110 charging adapter so you can plug it in anywhere at your house or office, no special charging stations or expensive Tesla Power Walls are needed. The charging brick can be upgraded to 220 or 221, whatever it takes.
This car also has the optional LED headlights that draw minimal power and light up the road in front you like the proverbial Griswald holiday lighting. Please use with caution so as not to blind oncoming drivers. Within the last 6 months we've also installed brand new Ecopia low rolling resistance tires so that you can hyper-mile any time that you want to. Although the car does not come equipped with the Autopilot sensors or software, due to the recent alignment you can take your hands off the wheel and continue to go straight if the conditions are right. Surely there will be an aftermarket upgrade for Autopilot from Tesla or Apple Car Play in the near future.
Safety is of the utmost importance and this car is equipped with a reverse Klaxon that sounds any time you put the car into reverse to signal to others around you that you are once again on the move. The car is normally so quiet during operation that the premium stereo system in likely in the low watt range because that is all that you need. You can easily carry on a conversation with all passengers any time you want to pontificate about the superiority of all-electric transportation.
With almost 400,000 people waiting in line for the upcoming Tesla Model 3 production car, this is your chance to jump the line and get into an electric car today! Otherwise your odds of getting a model 3 before the next decade are slim. You can always trade in this model on a future Model 3 if you so desire!
Take charge of your life and go electric today!!!
(Ok now for the serious part, as you can probably tell this is a 2012 Nissan Leaf SL photoshopped to look like a Model 3, sort of, and none of the Tesla items are actually on the car. So why make this ad? Let me provide a little background. In 2014 my girlfriend's car was totaled in an accident, her former car achieved something like 12-15 mpg and gas at $4.00/gallon was killing her so she wanted to go with an all electric car to save money at the pump. She found this Leaf for 1/2 of the price it listed for new, seemed like a really good deal and initially everything was going great until 2 things happened:
1) Elon Musk announced the Model 3 and the used market for electric cars, in particular the Leaf continued to tank to the point where the accelerated depreciation has my girlfriend upside down in her car (Thanks for that Elon!) despite having a low interest and moderate term loan. (Does Tesla offer accelerated depreciation protection for Model 3 waiters??)
2) Her children reached the age of where they became interested in sports. Although the Leaf gets 85miles per charge on average, that often isn't enough to get her to and from work, baseball practice, soccer practice, basketball practice etc. for her two boys. She needs a vehicle better suited for her current conditions.
We listed this Leaf on Cars dot com late last fall and although it has had some views, it has received only 1 inquiry. I came up with the idea of creating a comical Model 3 listing to draw attention to her plight and hopefully find someone interested in what is a perfectly good Nissan Leaf which would surely bring miles of all electric enjoyment until it is traded in on a Model 3. I was one of the first people in line at my local Tesla store last March and put a deposit down on a Model 3, but your guess is as good as mine as to when those will actually ship, and she needs out from under her loan and into something else before then, hence this ad! If you have any other questions please let us know.)
