2004 Scion xB RS 1.0 Description

Up for sale is a very clean 2004 Toyota Scion xb 'Release Series' 1.0 with 74,094 miles on it (mileage may increase slightly as I drive it once a week). I purchased this from the original owners in 2013 with 69,000 miles on it. They were xb enthusiasts who decided to part with the vehicle as they moved out to the country and didn't want to tear the xb up on dirt roads. I am also an xb enthusiast (my 3rd one) and I have continued to take very good care of this unique vehicle. It has been adult owned/driven since new, never hot-rodded or beat on, garage kept since new, and used minimally in bad weather.
This xb has the the usual 1NZ-FE 1.5L 4-cylinder with a 5-speed manual transmission. I have all the original documents and service records from the original owners as well as some Scion 'swag'. Since I have had the vehicle I have done three oil changes using Mobil 1 synthetic oil and Toyota filters, drained and filled the transmission with Redline MT-90 synthetic gear oil, installed new Hankook Optimo H426 tires in 185/65R15 size, installed new Toyota P/S and alternator fan belts, and performed a cooling system flush and fill using distilled water and then new Toyota 'red' coolant. I also installed a new set of TYC tail-lights as I found the stock ones too boring. I have also added a 'Boomerang' center console/armrest for driving comfort! This xb runs and drives excellent with no strange noises or anything unusual.
The RS 1.0 version feature unique 'Hot Lava' metallic orange paint, black interior with unique orange highlights, billet aluminum grille, orange colored Hotchkis strut bar, rear spoiler, orange LED underseat, underdash, and cup holder lighting, and a limited edition numbered dash plaque. They made only 2100 RS 1.0 xb's in 2004, this xb is one of 504 produced with the 5-speed manual transmission. I'm going to go out on a limb and say these 1st gen xb's will be collectible in the future, and this is probably one of the nicest and lowest mileage 5-speed RS 1.0 xb's left.
The interior of this xb is in great condition, there are a few minor scuffs here and there and slight wear on the drivers seat. The exterior is also in great condition, it does have a few minor paint chips here and there. It is wearing it's original factory windshield still, so it does have some rock chips and pitting. There is a small scratch in the front left fender, and a small door ding in the rear passenger door. The only body issue is both rear doors have a barely noticeable crease in them at the front of the doors on the bodyline. I expect this is from the doors being pulled open too far by the Kansas wind. I have had a paintless dent repair guy tell me they can be mostly removed, but I have never bothered because the creases are fairly hard to see. The engine compartment is in excellent shape, as is the underside of the vehicle.
This xb also includes extra parts not shown in pictures yet. I purchased these items and have never gotten around to installing them. 1. A new in box 'Progress' rear sway bar. 2. A new OBX Racing Sports exhaust header. 3. Five spare Scion 'twist' style hubcaps in like new condition.
If you are an xb enthusiast looking for a clean 1st gen that has been responsibly owned and appreciated, this may be what you are looking for. It's getting hard to find these units with low miles because they are so reliable. I will take cash on pickup, or a cashiers check that clears my back account before I release the vehicle and title (scammers don't bother). If you have less then 10 feedbacks I would appreciate you contacting me before you bid. This vehicle is located in Great Bend, Kansas (about in the middle of the state). I'm flexible about keeping the xb stored in my garage for awhile after you purchase it, as it's too nice to keep it outside. I'm hoping the person that buys this unit will continue to take good care of it. I'm selling it because it's really too nice to drive on the poor quality roads and lousy weather typical in this area, and I have too many cars. Please email with questions and thanks for looking.
