2003 Saab 9-3 Linear Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2003 Saab 9-3 LInear with the desirable manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this Saab to be in BELOW AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in gorgeous Cosmic Blue Metallic over charcoal leather interior, which looks great. The bright blue finish has a mile deep shine and looks smooth. This Saab gets the "below average" rating because there are multiple visible dents on the LF fender. Otherwise, this is a sharp looking car. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. The factory alloy wheels show very well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. All of the glass and lenses are intact. There is some adhesive residue around the left tail light. When I bought this car, the left rear tail light had been broken and they taped it in place, I suppose to keep the broken plastic from falling out everywhere. I replaced the tail light but some of the adhesive from the tape is still on the car. This should not be too hard to get off with a little elbow grease. I just don't have time to mess with it myself or it would already be done. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Saab to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The charcoal leather interior shows nicely against the bright blue exterior. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and show well throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean, too. Both front seats are heated. The power windows, locks and mirrors all work properly. The sunroof does not work. The audio system is original and sounds good. There is an in-dash CD player and steering wheel audio controls, too. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It is too cold to tell whether or not the air conditioner is working effectively, but I can tell you first hand that the heater works. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. Again, please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Saab appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.0L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks (although I believe the valve cover gasket leaks) and the engine does not burn any oil through the exhaust. Her road manners are good for an older car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and makes good power. The check engine light is on. The code is for a knock sensor. However, she seems to get around just fine. The clutch engages smoothly and does not slip or chatter. Gear changes through the five speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. Out on the highway, she pulls a little to the left so I'd recommend having the alignment checked sooner than later. Otherwise, she cruises easily and is a pleasure to drive. These are great cars that don't get near the credit they deserve. If you want a car that is reliable, fun and gets good fuel economy, a Saab 9-3 should be at the top of your list. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
