1967 Plymouth Fury Description

PLEASE NOTE, my wife closed the listing by mistake so we had to restart it again, sorry about that for all who were following the auction!
We are listing a super nice and restored 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible. Arizona car for many years and possibly since new.
The car was bought as a started project from Sierra Vista, a little town on the Mexican border in southern Arizona, years ago.We were planning on painting the Plymouth and doing an interior and top but it derailed and turned in to a huge job and you can see the result in my pictures.
During the last 3 years we have spent around $40,000 on the Sport Fury.
We disassembled the car including pulling engine, transmission, front subframe, etc and painted the car in pieces. The paint is agorgeous Chrysler SRT8 red metallic with pearl. It was of course color sanded in stages and polished in stages and it has a mirror shine now.
The interior is brand new from Legendary Interiors and the black convertible top is also new.
The Sport Fury is well equipped, some options were on the car from new and we added some.
383 V8 (the motor came with the car when we bought it, I have not checked any numbers to see if it is matching or not since the car is not 100% original anyway).Automatic transmissionPower SteeringPower BrakesPower topAir Conditioning (not charged at the moment)Tinted glassBucket Seats with the left seat 6 way power operatedConsole and floor shifterRemote mirror on the left side plus a right side exterior mirrorEtc
Here's a short list of what is new or rebuilt on the PlymouthNew paintNew interior, (new seat covers installed on rebuilt frames, new door panels, rear panels, sunvisors, carpet, windlace)New convertible topNew convertible top boothNew alternatorNew starterNew water pumpNew fuel pumpNew engine and transmission mountsNew dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflersNew dash padNew windshield with new rubberNew convertible top mechanismNew Performance radiatorNew locks with keys all aroundNew rubber all aroundNew fuel and heater hosesNew batteryNew windshield washer reservoir and pump (not installed yet in my pictures)New shocks front and rearNew seat belts front and rearNew thermostat, belts, points, plugs etcFresh oil and filter in engine and the transmissionRebuilt carburetorRebuilt drive shaftRebuilt cylinder heads with hardened seatsRebuilt brakesRebuilt steering boxRebuilt heater control valveRe-chromed front and rear bumpersBoiled out fuel tankAnd so much more.
The car is beautiful and rust free underneath, I am going to add a picture or two showing how nice it is as soon as I can get the Plymouth on a lift. And I'll add a picture or two showing more of the interior also.
We were considering adding disc brakes but since we already were way deep into this job we decided to go with the original brakes. They are the upgraded 2½ inch wide brake shoes and drums up front and totally rebuilt inc new hoses.
It has been a fun car to work on, just wish we had not gotten carried away and spent so much money on the Plymouth!
Before I give it to my wife to drive I figured I'd run it on eBay and see if there's a buyer out there who willappreciatethe beautiful Sport Fury as much as we do.
I don't know how long it has been since the Plymouth was last driven in traffic and used, my guess would be 10-20 years, possibly longer.
It is totally running and driving as you see it but so far we have only put a few miles on it so I would not recommend driving the convertible across country the first thing.
Inspections are encouraged and welcome. The Plymouth is at our huge restoration shop in down town Phoenix, Arizona.
PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING and also please ask questions early since I might not be able to answer questions hours before the end of the auction.
We have 30 years experience with exporting cars all over the world so international sales are not a problem and we can also often help arranging transportation within the US.
A $2000 is due within 24 hours and the balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction.
And lastly, pleeeeeeease don't bid unless you are willing and able to pay should you be the winning bidder.
