1998 GMC Savana Blue Pinstripe Description

New brake pads, rotors, and both front brake calipers and wheel seals done in November 2016. The mileage may change as I am still driving the van until sold. It runs great and no issues. Tires are in good shape, I am partial to Michelin. I am the only owner, bought it off the lot in Michigan new. All interior shades work and in excellent condition. The rear seats fold down for a bed, great for sleeping on the go. I did craft fairs for several years and this was my second van. I always kept the bed covered with a packing blanket as I put my plastic boxes with ceramic dishes and dried flowers on the bed. Under the bed I was able to carry 3 six foot tables and 4 6x2 panels to display my floral arrangements. I don't do as many fairs and don't use my big tent anymore so I need to downsize. It accommodated me and 5 men with luggage and big golf bags for trips to the airport, and I will be sorry to see it go.
Yes it is older and still looks pretty good but it does need some work. It has front and rear AC that is not working. The heat is fine as it doesn't circulate through the rear. The AC circulates under the van and there is rust that prevents it from holding Freon. The step rail on the drivers side support bracket broke this week and needs to be replaced. It did not pass inspection because of rust under the van. We would unbolt the middle seats whenever the kids needed help moving and my mechanic said there is an area where you can see the carpet from underneath. He gave me an estimate of $1800 whatever was needed to pass inspection. In his words I would definitely get a few more years out of it. You may be able to get someone to do it for less, or do it yourself. Since I don't drive it much at this point I don't want to fix it and have it sitting since we all know that isn't a good thing for a vehicle. Feel free to come look at it before you bid. Ask any questions ahead of time.
I do not have a reserve as I want to be fair. KBB on a normal van same year in this condition (not a conversion van) was 2500 so that's why I'm listing at this price. I will be listing it locally so if there are no bids I reserve the right to cancel the listing at any time. The antenna needs cleaning and lube as it isn't going up and down like it should. I bought a USB cigarette lighter adapter so you can plug in your phone. I still have all the owners manuals for the van, TV, rear cassette radio, and I still have a couple of head phones with volume control on them that came with the rear radio. 2 of the side door hinges were replaced which is why they look funny. The water pump was replaced at one point. The rear bumper and I think the brackets were replaced, I stopped when a big school bus in front of me stopped but the lady behind me didn't see it? The wood rack in the pic is the clothes rack but it's a little short and doesn't stay in the bracket, needs another 1/4 inch added. There is some carpet discoloration in the very back shown in the pic, but also in front of the TV, not shown. The 3 arm rests have come off from someone putting their weight on them, I have all the arm rests but can't figure out how to put them back in. Missing one center wheel cover as shown in pic and is missing, I don't have it.
