1984 GMC Jimmy Description

THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS, FOR PARTS OR PROJECT BECAUSE IT IS MISSING THE THREE REQUIRED SMOG PARTS AND WILL NOT PASS A VISUAL SMOG. I HAVE THE CLEAR TITLE BUT THE BUYER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING A SMOG CERTIFICATE REQUIRED FOR TRANSFER OF TITLE. This is a 1984 GMC Jimmy, 4 Wheel Drive. According to the previous owner the engine, rear end, and front seats were all replaced with equipment from a 2000 GMC Suburban. This includes a 350 Vortec Engine (with oil cooler) with Edelbrock Performer Aluminum intake manifold and Quadrajet Carb. Fed by an electronic fuel pump, a 4.56 ratio rear end with heavy duty drive shaft, and leather front bench seat. The front drive shaft is not installed because of the difference in ratio between the front and rear differentials. (front is the original 3.73) The drive chain in the transfer case is worn and needs replacing (very noisy) I purchased the chain and it will be included with the vehicle. The exhaust is custom bent to fit the engine and wrap around the front axle. The body is straight and does not appear to have any significant rust damage. I included a picture of the one fender dent that I could find; other than that it looks pretty straight. All of the glass is in good shape and the power windows all work. Top is removable and is in good condition with no major damage, just some surface scratches. Doors all shut tightly and the hinges are pretty solid. Lights and lenses are all in good shape. Comes with heavy duty bumper guard in the front and a tow hitch in the rear. Wheels are aluminum and the 33 12.5 16.5 tires are fairly worn. Rear shocks are not installed and mounting brackets will need to be fabricated due to the replaced rear end. The dash and steering wheel are all original and the quartz clock still keeps time. The speedometer does not work but fuel gauge, oil pressure, voltage meter, and temperature gauge work. I believe this covers all the details good and bad but please ask all of your questions prior to bidding. I will require a $500 nonrefundable deposit via PayPal at the close of the auction. The reserve is low and I fully expect to take a loss on this one but I need to get it out of my driveway. It was supposed to be a project for my daughter and I but college seems to be getting in the way.
