2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS Description

I am selling my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. This truck is incredibly reliable and has many new parts recently installed. The only reason I am selling it is because we have 3 vehicles and this one never gets driven anymore. I can pretty much guarantee youwon't find another trailblazer of this year as reliable as this one. It starts right up, runs and drives perfectly. It will not let you down. It has ice cold A/C and hot heat. Both work great and quickly.
The truck is incredibly clean inside and out. the engine compartment is very clean. There are no electrical problems of any kind that i know of. It has power locks with key fob, power leather seats, power windows, and cruise control. All of the power locks work, and all of the power windows work as they should. It haselectronic selectable 2wd/4wd/awd. The truck was just hooked up to an ODBii code reader and it has no codes, and no check engine light.
I just had the windows tinted a few weeks ago to 30% on all windows, which is legal here in Florida, and many other states. The whole front windshield is tinted 75%. It is not at all noticeable, but it definitely helps keep the sun out of your eyes. There is a backup camera installed in the rear of the truck. So if you decide to install an aftermarket double din radio, all you have to do is plug in the camera. The carpet is very clean and in great shape with no rips, stains, excessive wear or anything. Floor mats were always used. There is no rust anywhere on the truck. The paint is inexcellent shape, and the clear coat shows no sign of fading, chipping or peeling. The mud flaps, emblems and side moulding were removed, which is a popular mod Trailblazer owners do, it makes for a much cleaner look.
All of the work listed below was done within the last 5 months. I spent over $1,000 on parts alone, not including install labor. There has been less than 1,000 miles on these new parts. All of the parts are brand new purchased from auto zone and installed by a friend, who is an ASE certified mechanic. No junk yard or refurbished parts. The odometer reads 196,000 miles but it has less than 1,000 miles since all of the work was done. It looks, runs and drives like it has 50,000 miles. It is sure to run many many more miles before needing any work. When the engine was apart to have the new parts installed, it was thoroughly cleaned as much as possible. All of the gunk and carbon build up was completely removed from the intake manifold, combustion chamber, and top end. I have photos of most of the work, and i will post some of them here.
New Parts:
  • head gasket
  • valve cover gasket
  • intake manifold gasket
  • throttle body gasket
  • all 6 fuel injectors (new,duralast)
  • spart plugs (autolite iridium)
  • two ignition coils (duralast)
  • fuel filter
  • brake pads (duralast gold)
  • oil change (rotella synthetic)
  • transmission flush & filter
  • front o2 sensor
  • air filter (fram)
  • cabin filter
  • wiper blades

The only negatives about this truck are as follows:
  • In the cargo area there are two very light spots where the back seat folds down. You can barely see it in the photos, anddon't notice it at all in person. It looks like they are bleach or chlorine stains from the previous owner.
  • The driver's seat has a little bit of wear, as with any 2002 vehicle with leather seats. They are not in bad shape, I just want to point it out.
  • The tires are at about 30% or so. They still have many miles left on them but they are by no means new, you may want to replace them.
  • There is a very small dent/scratch on the passenger side rear quarter panel (last photo). Itisn't really very noticeable and most everyoneI've shown the truck tohasn't seen it until I pointed it out to them. The last photo was taken at night during a rain storm. In that photo the truck is dirty and covered in leaves from the storm, itdoesn'tnormal look like that. I just wanted to get a close photo ofthe scratch. That is the only body damage to the truck. There are no other dents, dings, or scratches.
  • Currently there is no radio in the truck. In the photos there is a Kenwood aftermarket CD player installed in the truck, It was recently removed. The aftermarket CD player was professionally installed and no damage was done to the truck. Nothing was cut, no wires were cut. A plug-n-play wiring harness was used with a proper dash install kit. I will go to the junk yard this week and do my best to find an OEM radio to install before you buy. It came factory with a CD player.
  • There were plastic "vent visors" installed on the 4 passenger windows. I removed them but icouldn't get all of the 3m adhesive off above the windows. You may need to take some goo gone, acetone, or other chemical to remove the adhesive. Ididn't want to try too hard and risk damaging the paint.
  • The "service 4wd" light is on but it still works fine. Ihavnt had it checked to see what the light is on for. Itdoesn'tthrow any codes on an ODBii scanner. I was told the fluid may need to be changed and you can have the light turned off. Idon't used 4wd so never bothered with it.

Hopefully Ive described the truck as well as I can. Ive tried to detail all of the issues and anything that has been done to the truck that is not factory. I have spent a lot of money on this truck recently making it very reliable. I have set a reserve at $2,800 due to the money i have recently invested. If i cannot sell it for $2,800 or more I will just keep it.
