1996 Buick Roadmaster Description

I purchased this car about 2-3 years ago from the original owner. He took meticulous care of the car and had it serviced regularly until he was no longer able to drive due to his age. I bought this car with about 80,000 miles on it and immediately started driving it for work, all highway miles, and never had any issues with the exception of a few things that have been corrected and are listed below. This was my daily driver and it got plenty of positive attention everywhere I took it. I am selling it because I had to start hauling large quantities of inventory for work and I didn't want to damage the interior so I purchased another car. I've found that I haven't had as much time as I would like to drive this car. I'm selling it to someone else who can appreciate it and drive it every day if they want. Overall this car is in great condition and I would have no hesitations driving it everyday for any distance. The body and floor of this car are very solid and rust free with the exception of a couple places listed below, but there is no body panel rust. The rear facing seat and 2nd row seats fold completely down so you can haul something as big as a full sheet of plywood. There is also a cover that goes over the rear cargo area that you can see in one of the pictures.

Here are the items that have been fixed/replaced/changedsince Ibought it:

-New battery (less than 2 months old)

-New Michelin tires (probably less than 5,000 miles on them)

-New fuel pump (less than 2 months old)

-New fuel filter, air filter and oil change within the last 100 miles

-New Carquest platinum front brakes installed (less than 1,000 miles ago)

-New front ball joints and wheel bearings (less than 1,000 miles ago)

-New front shocks (less than 1,000 miles ago)

-Cooling system complete flush and fill (within the last couple thousand miles)

-New radiator and complete flush and fill of the cooling system.

-Transmission filter and oil change in the last 10,000 miles

I don't think the rear brakes need done, but I had already purchased a set of CARQUEST brake shoes and drums when I did the front brakes. I was planning on putting them on the rear when they needed changed. They will come with the car as well.

There are a few issues, mainly cosmetic, that would be easy fixes if you choose to fix them; I just haven't had the time. I wanted to be honest and list all the issues that I know about, even if they are small, so don't be put off by the size of the list.

-Tail light had a small crack that was fixed with an epoxy at some point that didn't age well. I have a replacement tail light that I haven't installed that will come with the car.

-There was also a tear in the carpet and seat on the passenger side that was fixed in the same fashion. It is the only main flaw in the interior and not at all a reflection of the overall shape of the interior.

-There is rust in the spare tire well and on the top of the front wheel wells. The rest of the car body is almost completely rust free. I am not sure what may have happened that only these areas were affected.

-The left turn signal doesn't cancel by itself.

-Chrome trim on the passenger sideis slightly bent in one spot (pictured)bentbut all other trim is fine.

-Driver's seatbelt had a loose spring in the unlatch button. There is an extension belt that goes from the middle seat in the front that has been used with the driver's shoulder belt. A replacement seatbeltwould be a fairly easy and inexpensive fix.

-The pocket on the back of the driver's seat was reattached with fasteners that didn't match the rest of the interior but it doesn't really stand out.

Feel free to come see the car or take it on a test drive. I can store it after it's been paid for until you can pick it up or arrange for transportfor up to 30 days. I can also drive it out to you within about a 100 mile radius once it's paid for to deliver it.

I have done my best to describe the car in detail to the best of my knowledge and it is being sold as-is. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours after the close of the auction that can be paid using PayPal. I reserve the right to relist or sell to another bidder if no contact is made and/or the deposit isn't sent.
