2010 Aston Martin DBS Volante Convertible 2-Door Description

Impeccably adorned in Tungsten Silver, this 2010 Aston Martin DBS Volante is a 16,647-miles California example of Aston Martin’s flagship model sold from 2008 to 2012. First seen in the 2006 James Bond movie “Casino Royale,” the DBS was introduced to the public at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. As 007’s car of choice, the DBS lives up to its heritage with a naturally aspirated 6.0L V-12 engine that produces 510 HP at 6,500 RPM and 457 lb-ft of torque. All DBS engines were hand assembled in Cologne, Germany and delivered to Aston Martin’s Gaydon factory. They were such fine powerplants that modified versions powered the factory DBR9 and DBRS9 race cars. This example uses the ZF Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission in conjunction with a carbon fiber driveshaft and 3.73:1 limited slip differential for remarkably quick and crisp shifts. The chassis is well suited to putting the big V-12’s power to the pavement, employing double wishbone suspension regulated by Adaptive Damping System and ServoTronic speed-sensitive power steering to adjust settings to both road and driver input. Pirelli P-Zero tires on 20-inch 10-spoke diamond turned wheels and carbon ceramic vented disc brakes round out the handling package. Aston Martin is noted not just for their performance and looks but its expertly hand-rendered accommodations. Havana leather cloaks the seating and interior paneling, carbon fiber inserts, wood veneers and mesh trim. The list of interior appointments is typically complete, and media systems include a brilliant Bang and Olufsen 13-speaker sound system, satellite radio capability, Bluetooth and satellite navigation. Shrink-wrapped in aluminum and carbon fiber, the DBS has that unmistakable Aston Martin look and feel, from the signature front grille to the carbon fiber rear diffuser, features that set it apart from its Grand Touring contemporaries.
